This year, we’ve taken on 13 awesome ladies to be a part of a team that will represent LainieMac Photography for their senior year. To kick off the year, we planned a huge styled shoot, and when I say planned, we plaaaannneedd. These girls worked weeks getting their hipster outfits together, some scouring Goodwill, others visiting stores like Urban Outfitters, and one even finding some pieces in Grandma’s closet (Go Grandma!). They shared their progress in our Groupme app, making changes as needed. The end result.was.awesome.
On the day of the shoot, we met at one of the model’s home, where each girl got a personal make up application by one of two make up artists, Laura Carter, our official LainieMac MUA, and Cynthia Green. After their time in the make up chair, each girl got a chance to shine in her very own personalized head shot session. In the midst of all the glamour, we also got the chance to celebrate Montana’s 17th birthday with cookie cake (and who doesn’t love cookie cake?)
After headshots, the girls threw on their hipster outfits and we traveled to Macon, Georgia to use a few backdrops we’d previously scoped out. We split into groups for the first half of the shoot, and each group focused on one aspect of our larger theme, Music. The first group, our song writing group, used an acoustic guitar, a tamborine, a set of bongos, and a simple note pad as their props, while our second group posed with a few old records and record players. Our third group we titled our girl band group; a microphone, electric guitar, and vintage amp helped set the scene. We wrapped up the shoot with a few shots of all 13 girls together and let each girl shine individually once more for a few individuals.
We are so excited to see what this year brings us with this team!
